Mechanical Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our EPC team supporting power generation and distribution projects. This includes work on gas turbines, renewables, battery energy storage systems (BESS), substations, and transmission systems. You will be responsible for executing complete mechanical designs, applying advanced engineering techniques, and collaborating across disciplines to deliver high-quality, constructible solutions.

What You’ll Do

• Develop conceptual layouts, cost studies, and preliminary designs.
• Apply advanced engineering methods to complex process and utility piping systems.
• Produce estimate-worthy designs and material take-offs.
• Identify and analyze critical piping systems.
• Perform stress analysis, calculations, and piping estimates.
• Develop material specifications and detailed design sketches.
• Assist drafting teams with layout and detailing issues.
• Review vendor and interdisciplinary drawings for mechanical input.
• Ensure designs meet client expectations and comply with codes and standards.
• Support scope development, procurement documentation, and construction packages.
• Conduct fieldwork for data collection and construction support.
• Provide technical guidance to junior staff.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• PE license is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant industrial experience in mechanical engineering.
• Knowledge of design standards, codes, and piping specifications.
• Proficiency in piping system sizing, stress analysis, and valve selection.
• Experience with piping supports, safety devices, steam traps, and drainers.
• Ability to identify and specify specialty piping materials.
• Skilled in AutoCAD/Plant 3D, Revit, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective presentation and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in virtual, cross-functional teams.

• Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for field verification and support.
