Job Description - Mechanical Engineer

What You'll Do: As a mechanical engineer at Peter Basso Associates, you’ll join project teams working with top architects, contractors, and facility owners across diverse markets - education, healthcare, research, institutional, multi-family, and mixed-use. You'll apply creative solutions to complex challenges and contribute to projects from concept through construction.

What we’re Looking For:
We’re seeking well-rounded professionals who:

Collaborate across disciplines to drive project success
Develop practical solutions using strong problem-solving skills
Use BIM tools (AutoCAD, Revit) to ensure quality and efficiency
Manage multiple projects, milestones, and deadlines
Communicate effectively with internal teams and external clients
Build and maintain lasting client relationships
Mentor and delegate to support team growth
Balance big-picture thinking with attention to detail
Embrace continuous learning and professional development

Qualifications:

7–25 years of experience in HVAC system design
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (or proven equivalent experience)
Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
Strong communication and leadership skills
Self-driven, adaptable, and team-oriented
