Mechanical Engineer

Description:

The Operations Engineer will support the design, maintenance, and optimization of mechanical systems and equipment within the steel pipe manufacturing facility. Depending on business needs, the engineer may be assigned to the ERW Pipe Mill, Heat Treat facility, or Stretch Reduction Mill, gaining exposure to a range of mechanical and industrial processes. This role provides hands-on experience in industrial manufacturing, working closely with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure equipment reliability, process efficiency, and safe operations. The focus is on downtime reductions, maintenance  and tooling optimization, and sustainable operations. This role will report directly into the Director, ERW Mill & Investments or as assigned.

Working Conditions:

Primarily works within the production mill environment with moderate administrative office work. Exposure to heat, noise, and moving machinery; PPE required at all times. Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods, climb stairs, and occasionally lift up to 30 lbs. May require shift work, including nights or weekends, depending on production schedule or during major maintenance or startups. Production is working 7/24 and following and assisting of production required out of the office time.
