Lead conceptualization, modeling, analysis, documentation, and test/validation of semiconductor chamber hardware Work with potential suppliers to ensure parts can be manufactured in accordance with performance and cost objectives Ensure documentation is consistent with SEMI, Lam Standards and other standards as applicable (ANSI, DIN etc.) Design parts using metals, ceramics, quartz, plastics, and advanced coating/plating Develop and execute test plans that generate characterization data sufficient to understand and validate the performance of the design Develop and present reports/presentations of excellent quality that communicate design intent, analysis, and validation Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure hardware designs meet overall product objectives Provide work leadership, training, and mentoring to junior and new engineers Conduct thermal, flow, and stress simulations to optimize designs prior to fabricating parts Minimum of 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 8 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 6 years' experience; or equivalent experience Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and fundamentals including design principles, machine elements, materials, fabrication methods, and integration and testing Extremely knowledgeable and experienced in the use of 3D CAD tools such as ProE, NX, etc. Able to deliver in a dynamic, challenging, and fast-paced working environment to challenging development schedules Excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent presentation skills, and strong customer-interaction skills Strong skills and experience in problem solving, time and priority management and project management Strong attention to detail in design, documentation, and project execution Interest in potential Engineering Management responsibilities Semiconductor industry experience is not required, but a plus Fluency with modeling and assemblies in Siemens NX CAD system Proficient with thermal and structural analysis Prior experience developing semiconductor capital equipment, in particular ALD/CVD chamber hardware and plasma generation Experience with CFD flow simulation for gas flow in vacuum systems Hands on, passionate about hardware development Supervisory or Management experience
