Mechanical Engineer IV _ Gas Box Design

Design, develop, and optimize gas box systems for semiconductor manufacturing. Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., SEMI, ASME, NFPA). Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Process engineers, System engineers, NPME, GPS, TPS, Lab Ops, Buyers, OEM manufacturers and local machine shops. Conduct failure analysis and implement design improvements. Conduct Concept, Detailed and Final Design reviews. Support installation, testing, and troubleshooting of gas delivery systems. Submit Product Change Request based on customer requests. Review and Approve Engineering Change Request, Supplier Problem Sheet. Review and Approve Cap Code Request for new gas configuration on new shipment. Initiate Supplier Collaboration Vault for protype and/or lab support designs Collaborate with Component Engineering on new Product Developments (MFC, pneumatic/hybrid/manual valve, filter, regulator, Flow Ratio Controller, Integrate Mass Flow Specification). Experience: 5+ years in semiconductor gas delivery systems. Proficiency in CAD software (NX/SolidWorks/ AutoCAD). Knowledge of fluid dynamics, gas compatibility, Macro Flow and gas flow control. Familiarity with high-purity gas systems, and components including pneumatic valves, hybrid/manual valves, regulators, filters, ev manifolds, pressure switch Understanding of safety protocols for hazardous gases. Demonstrates depth and/or breadth of expertise in own specialized discipline or field Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services May lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity Communicates difficult concepts and negotiates with others to adopt a different point of view
