Job Description - Mechanical Engineer - OBD Calibration

We are looking for a skilled engineer with expertise in OBD calibration and development to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work in a fast-paced environment, gaining hands-on experience and expanding your knowledge across various engineering disciplines. The position requires 2 to 5 years of experience in engine or aftertreatment calibration.


Key responsibilities include:


Testing & Analysis:
• Operate advanced heavy-duty engine dynamometer test cells with precision
• Take ownership of executing test procedures efficiently while ensuring accurate data collection and reviewing test results to maintain data integrity


Dataset Ownership & OBD Functionality:
• Calibrate OBD features related to aftertreatment systems, including catalysts, filters, sensors, and other related technologies
• Assess OBD monitor performance and reliability by analyzing data from trucks, test cells, and other testing environments
• Design, execute, and analyze development and verification tests
• Lead the innovation of OBD algorithms and concepts to meet future CARB and EPA standards
• Apply advanced analytical methods for OBD monitor testing and design calculations
• Present findings in both written reports and oral presentations


 


Salary Range: $70,000-75,000


The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience
