Your responsibilities
The
Mechanical Engineer, R&D
is responsible for design, testing, manufacture and documentation of current products and new developments.
Essential Job Functions: Project responsibilities to include design, development, analysis, test and documentation Maintain project files of notes and design information Conduct necessary investigations (using the internet, catalogs, books and suppliers) for new components and products pertinent to the design Review specifications and other design data to ensure designs follow any safety or industry guidelines Interact with and evaluate suppliers to qualify, evaluate and requisition components for existing and new product needs
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Competent computer based 2D and 3D solid modeling design capabilities. Competent database, ERP system, spreadsheet and word processing abilities Proficient planning and organizational skills Effective verbal and written communication skills Detail-oriented and able to use judgment and independent thinking as to the timely interpretation of data
Your qualifications
Education and Experience: Bachelors degree in engineering (preferably Mechanical) or equivalent and 5+ years experience. Experience in project management, equipment specification and technical writing Experience in an engineered for fabrication/machining environment preferred.
