Position: Mechanical Engineering Expert - Visual Reasoning Benchmark
Type: Contract
Compensation: $70–$85/hour
Location: Remote

Role Responsibilities

• Author benchmark problems in Mechanical Engineering using authentic engineering visuals.
• Source genuine professional artifacts like CAD drawings, assembly diagrams, and GD&T drawings.
• Write problems unsolvable from text alone, ensuring concise and unambiguous answers.
• Develop step-by-step worked solutions at a professional level.
• Tag each problem with domain, artifact type, skill tested, and difficulty.
• Collaborate with another domain expert for independent review of each problem.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• Hands-on experience with real mechanical engineering artifacts.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering visuals.
