Mechanical Estimator

We are working with an established mechanical contractor specializing in commercial HVAC construction, design/build, and plan/spec projects. Their work spans a variety of markets, including high-rise residential, multifamily, hotels, healthcare, institutional, and commercial construction.

The company is seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator to support its growing project portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  Prepare accurate cost estimates and competitive bids for commercial HVAC and mechanical construction projects.

  
  


• 
  

  Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine labor, material, and equipment requirements.

  
  


• 
  

  Perform material and equipment takeoffs and develop detailed bid proposals.

  
  


• 
  

  Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, general contractors, and internal project teams.

  
  


• 
  

  Identify cost-saving opportunities through value engineering and alternative system designs.

  
  


• 
  

  Support preconstruction, budgeting, and project turnover activities.

  
  


• 
  

  Assist with design/build and plan/spec estimating efforts.

  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  

  Experience estimating commercial mechanical or HVAC construction projects.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong understanding of HVAC systems, ductwork, piping, and mechanical equipment.

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience with material takeoffs, pricing, and bid preparation.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

  
  


• 
  

  Familiarity with estimating software and construction technology is preferred.
