Mechanical Facilities Technician

The Mechanical Facilities Technician will support the operation and maintenance of critical mechanical systems in a high-tech semiconductor manufacturing environment. This role focuses on performing preventative maintenance (PM) tasks, troubleshooting mechanical equipment, and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with client expectations and industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and corrective preventative maintenance (PM) activities on mechanical facility systems as directed by the client.


• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain systems such as HVAC, process cooling water, exhaust systems, compressors, and pumps to ensure optimal facility performance.


• Accurately document all issues, findings, and resolutions in maintenance logs and reporting tools.


• Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times when performing maintenance or repairs.


• Ensure all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner, minimizing downtime and ensuring continuous facility operations.


• Collaborate closely with other facilities team members, vendors, and contractors to support operational needs.


• Participate in safety meetings, audits, and training, promoting a culture of safety and compliance.


• Identify opportunities for process improvements and report any system deficiencies to leadership.


• Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role.

Skills Required:

• 2+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in a semiconductor, cleanroom, or manufacturing environment.


• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, piping, pumps, and other facility infrastructure.


• Understanding of safety standards, PPE requirements, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.


• Ability to read and interpret mechanical schematics, blueprints, and PM checklists.


• Attention to detail and documentation skills.


• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Education / Licenses / Certifications

• Technical degree or bachelor's degree in relevant studies preferred but not required.
