Job Summary:
The main duty of a Mechanical Lead is to oversee repair and installation work conducted by mechanical technicians. A Mechanical Lead conducts inspections, ensures that safety procedures are being adhered to and maintains inventory of machine parts. They will track work performance, document the production of technicians, and hire and discipline employees as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Mechanical Lead is responsible for, but not limited to the following:
Supervising and coordinating the activities of technicians.
Inspecting the facility and equipment for problems and maintenance needs.
Collect record report and store pertinent data
Planning and directing shop procedures, work programs, and repairs.
Ensuring that safety procedures are followed and enforced.
Maintaining inventory of machine parts and tools.
Assist the Site Engineer with tasks as requested.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:
2+ years’ experience in mechanical operations management.
ASE Certified.
Minimum 1-2 years’ experience working in a mechanical environment.
Fluency in conversational English,
Guest Facing Experience
Customer service experience gained in a similar role is required.
SKILLS & SPECIFICATIONS:
Proficiency in the use of computer business applications, with working knowledge of computerized accounting and payroll systems.
Inspecting mechanics’ repairs and installations
Analyzing mechanics’ work performance
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management skills
Overseeing safety program and procedures
Maintaining parts inventory.
Insure regular daily weekly monthly and yearly maintenance conducted.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to speak English clearly, distinctly, and cordially with employees and guests.
Ability to read and write English to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from guests, managers, and co-workers.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be physically fit.
Must have strong customer service skills.
Ability to work in an outdoor environment.
Ability to multi-task and think critically.
Previous work experience preferred.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
Work may require employees to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
May be required to work shifts.
