Mechanical Project Engineering Leader - Manufacturing

Join our dynamic team as a Mechanical Project Engineering Leader at our state-of-the-art paper manufacturing facility in Ashland, Virginia. This role combines technical expertise with leadership skills to drive continuous improvement in our maintenance and reliability programs.

Core Responsibilities:

• Lead complex mechanical engineering projects from conception to completion
• Spearhead root cause analysis (RCA) investigations and implement corrective actions
• Develop comprehensive project plans and work orders using advanced planning tools
• Manage vendor relationships and evaluate technical proposals
• Optimize predictive maintenance strategies within SAP CMMS
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in maintenance processes
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality protocols
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 5+ years of maintenance/reliability engineering experience in industrial manufacturing
• Proven expertise in CMMS systems, preferably SAP
• Strong project management skills with MS Project proficiency
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles
• Excellence in problem-solving and critical thinking
• Outstanding communication and leadership abilities
• Track record of successful project delivery in manufacturing environments
