Job Description - Mechanical Solder - 2nd Shift

Eaton\u2019s IS AER MSD division is currently seeking a Mechanical Solder - 2nd Shift. \n\nThe hourly rate for this position is $26.00 - $31.50 per hour.\n\nThe core hours are 3:00pm - 11:30pm.\n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nEaton\u2019s Mission Systems Division is currently seeking a Mechanical Solderer. This position is based at our Orchard Park, NY facility and is responsible for utilizing knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform soldering and other manufacturing processes. Maintains standards of quality, production, and safety; complies with all company policies and works as part of a team to ensure that daily goals are met. \n\nIn this function you will: \n\u2022 Be responsible for identifying improvement opportunities for Environmental, Health, and Safety. \n\u2022 Obtain and maintain Certified Operator Status including job specific training/certifications and ERP system data entry in accordance with site guidelines \n\u2022 Possesses knowledge/experience of mechanical soldering requirements, equipment to evaluate mechanical systems, use of specialized mechanical soldering tools/measuring equipment. Shares knowledge and guide technicians of lower and current level. \n\u2022 Independently perform moderate and begins high complexity assembly and test operations following written instructions. \n\u2022 Understands product quality requirements and follows non-conforming material processes. Reports findings to team and generates non-conforming hardware documentation. \n\u2022 Identify and communicate potential WI discrepancies/updates. \n\u2022 Working experience with pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems, and able to troubleshoot moderate issues without supervision. \n\u2022 Identify and communicate troubleshooting instructions/process aid opportunities. \n\u2022 Basic experience with ERP systems and standard Microsoft applications.\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications: \n\u2022 High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution \n\u2022 Minimum 2 years in Aerospace manufacturing OR Minimum 3 years of relevant manufacturing experience \n\u2022 1-3 years of previous soldering experience under a microscope for hours at a time \n\u2022 Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. \n\u2022 This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
