Mechanical Systems Technician

Maintain the Plant Perform preventive maintenance tasks Support predictive maintenance practices Perform Corrective maintenance Perform failure analysis and implement improvements Update and maintain the CMMS information for the plant Enter work order information into the CMMS Calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair plant controls, valves, and instruments Troubleshoot and repair Motor Control Centers Operate equipment such as skid steers, fork truck, rail movers, lifts, etc. High School Diploma 2-year associates degree- Industrial technology, Instrumentation Technician, Industrial technician or equivalent. 2-5 years of related work experience Be available for overtime as required Basic computer skills including excel, word, and outlook. Ability to use office equipment (computer, copy machine, calculator, etc.) Demonstrate attention to detail Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing to provide technical expertise as required Work independently or with others as a team to complete assigned projects Awareness of new technical developments and ability of applying new knowledge to the processes in place at REG Experience in a process plant or production environment experience in biofuels, petrochemical or agricultural sectors preferred Special skills or knowledge preferred: Instrumentation and/or controls, Centrifugal pump operation and maintenance, Millwright or mechanic training, Welding skills or Certification, Cause analysis, CMRT (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician) or CMRP (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional) Ability to lift and carry at least 75Lbs.
