Mechanical Technician

Our Company is seeking to recruit a highly competent and experienced Mechanical Technician to join our team at our Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) team located San Fernando, Trinidad. The ideal candidate should have strong operational experience within the oil and gas industry with leadership capabilities and be committed to delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality operational performance.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nThe Mechanical Technician is responsible for ensuring on time delivery of equipment as per operational demands. The Mechanical Technician improves maintenance related non-productive time ratio of the Product Line\u0027s assets within the Maintenance Base (MB) and improves efficiency and people productivity. \n\n * Maintain assigned equipment according to the pertinent maintenance program and compliant with the reliability centered maintenance strategy through adherence to the Computerized Maintenance Management System and standard work.\n * Supervise and coordinate the activities of maintenance personnel and contractors when required\n * Participate in continuous improvement efforts to improve asset turnaround time, which includes reducing downtime due to maintenance, parts and repair authorization numbers, failures and work-in-process.\n * Adhere to transactional discipline within TLM business systems to record materials and supplies, labour costs and equipment maintenance performance history such as movements, work orders, parts used and time to maintain.\n * Participate in the continuous improvement culture, initiatives and improvement plans within the MB to improve asset utilization and cost of service delivery (CoSD).\n * Participate in continuous improvement efforts to improve asset turnaround time, which includes reducing downtime due to maintenance, parts and repair authorization numbers, failures and work-in-process.\n * Implement CoSD projects, such as the planned repair and reuse of parts.\n * Participate in failure investigations as assigned.\n\n\n\n * Technical diploma or certification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.\n * Minimum of 5 years experience as Mechanical Technician with at least 10 years in oil and gas industry.\n * Sonde Tech experience with downhole tractors and Powered Intervention expertise\n * International experience will be an asset\n * Proven ability to work and lead teams of 5-15 personnel in high pressure operational environments will be considered an asset\n * Available to travel to offshore and within the Caribbean region (Guyana and Suriname)\n * Strong operational knowledge of mechanical systems, rotating equipment, and industrial machinery\n * Extensive experience in the advanced maintenance of production logging tools and all Wireline Equipment in accordance with International Oil and Gas standards\n\n\n
