Job Description - Mechanical Technician-Assembly

MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN-ASSEMBLY

SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical systems and equipment throughout the sportfishing boat construction and production process.

REQUIREMENTS:

Previous marine mechanical experience is preferred.

Candidates with experience in automotive, diesel mechanics, industrial maintenance, mechanical assembly, or other related skilled trades are encouraged to apply.

Reading and interpreting work orders, technical drawings, diagrams, and manufacturer specifications to ensure proper installation, testing, and operation of mechanical systems in accordance with company quality standards.

Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and knowledge of marine mechanical systems and installation practices.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Installing engines, propulsion systems, steering systems, fuel systems, plumbing, pumps, and other mechanical components.

Using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.

Demonstrate dependable attendance.

Maintain high standards of quality workmanship.

Work cooperatively with other assembly personnel to meet production schedules.

Follow established safety procedures.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
