Mechanical/Process Pipe Workers

Felix Construction is seeking structural mechanical/process pipe workers to work in the water/wastewater construction industry.  The job involves general labor and mechanical tasks such as, putting pipe together both underground and above exposed pipe and installing equipment.  Requires heavy construction experience.  All candidates must have a great attitude.  Work is new build or upgrades to existing facilities.

What You'll Be Doing

• Perform various physical activities such as digging, hammering or putting pipe together


• Be able to read and understand elevations


• Use hand and power tools


• Bolt up above ground pipe, adjust pipe to line and grade


• Install mechanical joint (MJ) lugs and below ground piping


• Thread pipe, sweat copper and glue PVC


• Follow strict job site safety requirements

Who You Are

• 4 years of hands-on experience

• Heavy construction mechanical experience required including experience underground and above ground mechanical process pipe


• Experience using hand tools and power tools required


• Ability to work outdoors on construction job sites required


• Ability to follow verbal or written instructions required


• Regular, timely attendance is required for this position


• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

This position requires working on construction sites in extreme temperatures. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and use hand tools associated with the construction industry. Specific vision abilities required include the ability to adjust and focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand for long periods, walk, sit, kneel, bend, reach with hands and arms, hear, and talk.
