WorkFit Medical Staffing, PLLC is seeking dedicated and experienced Medical Surgical Nurses to join our team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical unit, focusing on patient assessment, treatment, and education. As a vital part of the healthcare team, you will collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety.

Starting Payrate: $50/hr

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
• Monitor patient progress and vital signs, responding to any changes promptly.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and health management.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information and care provided.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care standards.

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate’s degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted.
• Minimum of one year of medical-surgical nursing experience required.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is a plus.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as necessary.
