Media Asset Manager

Broadcast Management Group (BMG) is a leading provider of broadcast managed services. This position will lead BMG’s Media Asset Management (MAM) offering and requires experience in all MAM systems and operations aspects. This client-facing and hands-on technical position will run and operate the MAM system hosted in the BMG Cloud Control Center™. The MAM Manager will also provide client demos and customer system support. The MAM Manager will collaborate with key internal teams to evolve the media asset management strategy and vision, ultimately supporting the company’s broader objectives and goals within the Managed Services division.

This role is a hybrid of technical support and customer service. It acts as the first point of contact for clients requiring MAM support.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries related to the Media Asset Management system.
  


• Troubleshoot and resolve user issues related to media ingestion, metadata tagging, content retrieval, storage, and delivery.
  


• Guide customers on best practices for media asset organization and usage within the MAM platform.
  


• Monitor system performance and escalate technical issues to engineering or IT support teams when necessary.
  


• Log, track, and report on all support tickets using CRM or ticketing systems.
  


• Provide training and onboarding support for new users of the MAM platform.
  


• Stay up-to-date with system updates, enhancements, and industry best practices.


• Partner with key business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to lead the development of the MAM vision, guiding principles, prioritized use cases/end-user experiences, high-level requirements, and roadmap


• Define client project scopes and craft business requirement documentation with input from relevant stakeholders.


• Develop and maintain a client metadata entry protocol. Work with various stakeholders across the enterprise to define metadata and taxonomy guidelines. Actively promote data consistency to support common standards and analytics.


• Establish periodic data verification review processes to ensure data accuracy and support easy and consistent asset search and delivery.

• Provide client training, maintenance, and support.


• Working with the client to digitize an analog asset into the MAM system

• 3+ years of experience managing large companies' enterprise content management or digital asset management systems, ideally in a media, broadcast, or post-production environment.


• Familiarity with Media Asset Management systems 


• Desirable: Active engagement in the MAM community
  


• Understanding video and audio formats, codecs, metadata, and digital workflows.


• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate clearly and patiently.
  


• Experience with ticketing and CRM platforms.
  


• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  


• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  
  

• Experience working with cloud-based media platforms (e.g., AWS Media Services, Frame.io, Adobe Cloud).
  


• Basic knowledge of APIs, scripting, or automation tools is a plus.
  


• Familiarity with media delivery standards and practices (e.g., broadcast specs, VOD packaging).
