Medical Assistant

Women’s Health Specialists is a fast paced, friendly, 5 provider GYN practice in Rockville, MD. We are in search of an experienced, upbeat, multi-tasking Medical Assistant to join our team! The hours for this role would be a Monday-Friday position with the hours of 8:00AM – 4:30PM, and NO Weekends! Additionally, 2 Wednesdays a month, and office hours are from 10:00AM-6:00PM.

Job Responsibilities:

• Verifies patient information by interviewing the patient, recording medical history, and confirming the purpose of the visit.

• Prepares patients for examination by performing and recording preliminary physical tests; height, weight, and blood pressure.

• Document complete GYN History.

• Assist provider(s) with patient care.

• Assists with office procedures.

• Maintain and monitor clinical supplies.

• Assure exam, procedure rooms and lab are fully stocked with up-to-date supplies.

• Maintain and monitor clinical equipment to ensure it is in working condition and compliant with yearly inspections.

• Notify Clinical Manager of potential issues.

• Cleans and disinfects patient rooms after each patient.

• Communicate with providers, hospitals, Dr's offices, radiology and staff.

• Provide back-up and support to the clinical manager and admin.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Certified Medical Assistant Certification required.

• Prior experience working in GYN is preferred.
