Medical Assistant

Description

Greater Danbury Community Health Center seeks to hire full-time Medical Assistants (MA) to work in our Behavioral Health Department.  The position is responsible for working directly with Clinicians and Registered Nurse (RN) to facilitate quality out patient Behavioral Health care, and efficient patient flow.  MAs are responsible for vital signs, documenting patient history,  rooming patients, setting up exam rooms, maintenance of medical supplies, assists in the handling of equipment, recording of patient information, and equipment maintenance.  Some shifts require late afternoon / early evenings.  

Requirements

Successful candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED, Medical Assistant Certificate (preferred, but not required), and two years of appropriate medical office experience (or equivalent), prior experience with electronic medical records;  AA preferred. Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged to apply.
