Medical Assistant

Description

AMG Senior Medical Group is a mobile practice in which Nurse Practitioners provide Primary Care for older adults in assisted/independent living facilities and private homes. We are seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant for an office position located in Murray, Utah just off the 5300 S Exit. The position is 5 days per week 8am-5pm with 1 hour lunch.

Duties to include, but not limited to:

Working with EHR (messages/orders from providers and all patient charting)

Answering incoming calls from patients, families, facilities, other agencies,

Scheduling Patients,

Ordering labs/images,

Calling in medications to pharmacies,

Completing Prior Authorizations on medications,

Completing face-to-face paperwork for home health admissions,

Calling patients, family members, and facilities with results or answers to their questions,

Managing fax,

Managing voicemail,

Additional clerical duties as needed.

Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Completion of a medical assisting program or equivalent experience

- Current CPR certification

- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures

- Proficiency in electronic medical records and Microsoft Office

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
