Medical Assistant

**Please note that this position will require travel to both office locations, Enfield, CT & Simsbury, CT. Please do not apply if you are unable to work at both practice locations.**

Duties: 

• ‪Greet and room patient
• Take dermatology history, chief complaint
• Scribe a dictated exam by the provider
• Set up biopsy trays
• Package and label specimens for shipment
• Clean /stock and set up rooms between patients
• Clean and autoclave & surgical instruments
• Call patients with biopsy results
• Answer phone messages and faxes for the provider
• Assist fellow team members in busy clinic

Qualifications: 

• Ability to multitask and self-manage
• Ability to manage EMR system on a tablet
• Ability to speak clearly to patients and staff
• Ability to also work at our Simsbury location

Job Type:

• Full-Time: Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm with an occasional mandatory Saturday

Experience:

• 1 + year Medical Assistant experience required
• Dermatology office Medical Assistant experience preferred

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent is required

Certifications/Licenses:

• Medical Assistant certificate is preferred

Pay:

• Pay starts at $19.00 per hour and increases with years of experience
