Job Title: Medical Assistant
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and supporting the provider during clinical operations. The ideal candidate will be professional, efficient, and team-oriented with strong communication and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide excellent patient care in a clinical setting
· Interview patients and document medical history and vital signs in the medical record
· Take and record vital signs accurately
· Assist providers with exams, procedures, and treatments
· Collect and prepare laboratory specimens, such as urine or blood samples
· Perform basic lab tests and record results
· Clean and dress wounds, and assist with minor procedures
· Provide patient education based on provider instructions
· Maintain and update patient medical records in accordance with clinic standards
· Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for their visit
· Return patient calls and follow up on questions or needs after visits
· Monitor and manage inventory of medical supplies and restock as needed
· Sterilize medical instruments and equipment following infection control guidelines
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam and treatment rooms
· Ensure patient safety and privacy in all interactions and procedures
· Collaborate effectively and professionally with coworkers and providers
· Assist coworkers when needed and contribute to a positive team environment
· Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· Physical Requirements:
- Visual and auditory acuity required for patient care
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
- Ability to move quickly and stand for long periods
· Language Skills: English fluency required; Spanish-speaking a plus
· Experience: Minimum 6 months as a Medical Assistant required
- On-site training will be provided
· BLS/CPR certification preferred
· Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred
· Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
· High school diploma or equivalent required

· High mental demands include judgment and response under pressure
