We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant to join our team and support our mission of delivering high-quality patient care.
Job Description: As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our pediatricians and ensuring a positive experience for our patients and their families. Your responsibilities will include clinical and administrative tasks aimed at providing comprehensive care to patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
Take and record vital signs, height, weight, and medical histories
Assist pediatricians during examinations and treatments
Administer vaccinations and medications as directed by the pediatrician
Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
Provide patient education and support to families
Ensure exam rooms and equipment are clean, stocked, and ready for use
Assist with administrative tasks such as answering phones and managing patient inquiries
Qualifications:
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred
Previous experience in a pediatric or family practice setting
Strong knowledge of pediatric healthcare and immunization schedules
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well with children and families
Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
CPR and First Aid certification preferred
Compensation: $20.00 per hour
