Medical Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our medical staff by providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical facility. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology, and the ability to perform various clinical tasks within a hospital setting.

Duties

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patients for side effects.
• Perform X-ray procedures as needed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
• Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
• Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs and medical history.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with hospital standards.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care in a Level II trauma center.
• Utilize coding knowledge to accurately process medical records and billing information.
• Support emergency medicine efforts by responding promptly to patient needs.

Years of Experience: 1 year(s)

Certifications: BLS, CMA*, HS/GED, MA Diploma

Charting System: Epic

Experience

• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with hospital medicine practices and protocols is advantageous.
• Knowledge of medication administration and basic pharmacology is essential.
• Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of physiology is required.
• Experience working in high-pressure environments, such as emergency medicine, is a plus.

Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 17:00)
