Job Summary 
As a Medical Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting healthcare delivery by assisting healthcare professionals in various clinical and administrative tasks. Your contribution will be vital in ensuring the safety, welfare, and comfort of our patients. 

  

Responsibilities 
Responsible for taking patient history and obtain vital signs. 
Accurately complete corresponding paperwork/computer work for lab tests ordered on urine. 
Maintain confidentiality with all patient information (HIPAA). 
Ensures equipment is in working order. 
Reports equipment malfunctions to manager.
Logs laboratory procedures completed.
Processes related paperwork using computer equipment as directed. 
Maintains examination rooms, sterilization of equipment and stocks necessary medical supplies.
Performs duties to ensure good patient flow.
Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal information 
Cleans and stocks the site with other members of the team
Training other team members.
Maintain good attendance (daily, meetings, and other assignment tasks).  
Other duties as assigned.  

  

Education and Experience 
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
1-2 years previous experience working in a physician practice or clinic setting is preferred.
Basic computer skills, including the use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
Ability to function independently without close supervision, and to consistently exercise discretion and the highest level of good clinical and other professional judgment.   

  

Physical Requirements 
Frequent sitting with occasional standing and walking for 8-10 hour shifts.  
Frequent use of fine motor skills to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls and ability to reach with hands and arms on a regular basis.
Intermittently required to lift objects weighing up to 20 pounds. 
Consistently required to talk and/or hear.
