Medical Assistant

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant (MA) to join our Pediatric healthcare team in downtown Plattsburgh.

As an MA at Plattsburgh Primary Care Pediatrics, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and assisting in the overall management of patient needs. Responsibilities:
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any significant changes to the healthcare team
- Assist with patient assessments and provide basic medical care
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Perform routine laboratory tests and collect samples for medical testing
- Assist with medical procedures.
- Document patient information accurately and maintain medical records

Experience:
- At least 2 years as an MA or CNA in a healthcare setting  
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures
- Experience in acute care settings is preferred
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
