Medical Assistant Job Description:

Job Summary:

Working as a Medical Assistant at Community Hospital requires a certain fondness for people and a willingness to help those in need. Community Hospital’s Medical Assistants are compassionate, caring, and empathetic people who are capable of building true emotional connections with their patients.

• Location: 603 28 1/4 Rd, Grand Junction, CO 81506


• Schedule: Full-Time; Monday- Friday 7:45 AM to 5:00 PM

Responsibilities:

Provides patient care to assigned patients in the practice per hospital standards and procedures.

Interviews patients, measures all vital signs as required for meaningful use. To include but not limited to, pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and records information on patients' charts.

Assists provider with assigned patients in the clinic per hospital standards and procedures

Completes administrative functions as requested

Inventories and submits orders to the Practice Administrator for all medical supplies, materials and medications.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent

Current national MA certification from one of the following national MA certifications or registrations:  Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) of AMT, National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) of the AAMA 

two (2) years of related experience preferred

Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association)

Compensation:

The anticipated compensation range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00 per hour, commensurate with qualifications, education, experience, and other applicable factors. This position is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Additional compensation may be available in the form of discretionary incentive or other compensation programs. Any such additional compensation is not guaranteed and is determined at the sole discretion of the organization based on applicable program terms, individual and/or organizational performance, and other eligibility requirements.

• Signing Bonus: $3,000 Paid out as outlined in the sign-on Bonus agreement
