Medical Assistant (Bilingual)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care within a dynamic clinical environment. This position involves a fast paced environment where quality of care trumps volume, seeing 20-28 patients per day.

Duties

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Perform vital signs checks, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed by physicians and ensure accurate documentation.
• Prepare patients and assist with minor procedures.
• Maintain patient records and manage appointment scheduling when asked.
• Provide care to patients of all ages, ensuring their comfort and safety during visits.
• Providing patients with treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care instructions as directed by the physicians.
• Uphold cleanliness and organization in the clinic environment.

Work Location: In person

• Strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.
• Experience in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with outpatient care processes and protocols.
• Proficient in taking vital signs accurately and efficiently.
• Understanding of obstetric and gynecologic conditions and treatments is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
• Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Compassionate approach to patient care, particularly for geriatric populations.
• Must be fluent in Spanish and English

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
