Medical Assistant Certified

Southern California Spine and Joint Institute is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to join our team in a growing, fast-paced, pain management office. This individual must be self-motivated, reliable and caring.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting physicians in minimally invasive office procedures


• Obtain thorough chief complaints, medical history and vital signs


• Educate patients on treatments offered


• Create radiology orders


• Obtain radiology reports from online portals


• You may also be expected to perform front desk responsibilities including but not limited to:
  
  
  • answering phones
  
  
  • scheduling patients
  
  
  • checking patients in and out
  
  
  • collecting co-pays/deductibles
  
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Specialty experience preferred


• Certified Medical Assistant


• Compassionate with good interpersonal skills


• Ability to build rapport with patients


• EMR proficient
