Medical Assistant, Certified Medication Aide or LPN

Our Meade & Plains Rural Health Clinic  is looking to hire a full time Medical Assistant, Certified Medication Aide  or LPN. 

Position Summary:

Assist with general management of all medical aspects of the physician’s practice under the supervision of RN. Assist with daily operations of the clinic.

Qualifications:

• Certified Medication Aide License, Medical Assistance Graduate or LPN
• Licensed in the State of Kansas.
• Current BLS.
• Worked in a similar position.
• Basic Medication Knowledge.
• Patient Care Experience.
• Excellent communication and organization skills.
• Must be mature, well organized and able to work effectively with people.

Responsibilities:

• Complete mandatory education (i.e. CareLearning courses)
• Adhere to policies and procedures
• Maintain patient and system confidentiality
• Must function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies
• Prepare patients for treatment/room patients.
• Conduct accurate initial interview of patient.
• Complete documentation in the clinic record.
• Keep patient rooms clean, in order and fully stocked.
• Respond to patient needs/give medications as ordered.
• Assist Providers as needed.
• Perform lab tests as ordered.
• Maintain and clean equipment in clinic.
• Perform tasks assigned by Clinic Nurse Manager.
• Review test findings with patient after reviewed by provider.
• This position is classified as an OSHA risk category I, indicating that the job poses a risk for exposure to blood or body fluids.
