What You’ll Do


The Medical Assistant provides direct patient care and clinical support in a clinic setting, working collaboratively with providers and team members to deliver high-quality, efficient, and compassionate care.



  • Perform patient intake, obtain and document vital signs, and accurately update the electronic medical record (EMR).

  • Assist providers with examinations, treatments, procedures, diagnostic testing, medications, immunizations, and specimen collection.

  • Prepare examination and procedure rooms, operate medical equipment, and maintain appropriate infection control and safety standards.

  • Coordinate appointments, follow-ups, patient calls, education, and communication while addressing questions and concerns within scope of practice.

  • Support quality improvement, data organization, process optimization, and clinic initiatives that promote positive patient outcomes and Rural Health Clinic reimbursement.

  • Maintain current knowledge of clinical practices, public health, infection control, and organizational policies and procedures.

  • Demonstrate teamwork, professionalism, and flexibility while supporting smooth clinic operations.

  • Perform a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.


 


Who We’re Looking For


We’re looking for a dependable Medical Assistant with strong patient-care skills and a commitment to providing compassionate, quality service.



  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.

  • 0–3 years of previous experience or equivalent skills and demonstrated performance.

  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification within 3 months of initial employment and maintained throughout employment with GRHD.

  • Strong communication, teamwork, professionalism, and attention to detail.

  • Pay Range: $20.43-$27.55/hour (based on experience)

Compensation may vary outside this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
