Position Overview

The Medical Assistant is a multi-skilled professional who plays a vital role in patient care management, serving as a critical link between the medical staff and our patients. This individual performs a variety of clinical and administrative duties to ensure the seamless operation of our healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during patient examinations and medical procedures


• Prepare patients for exams, tests, or treatments


• Administer medications as directed by the physician


• Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis


• Perform basic lab tests and electrocardiograms (EKGs)


• Educate patients about treatment plans, medications, and physician instructions


• Sterilize equipment and maintain clean, orderly exam rooms


• Monitor and follow health, safety, and environmental protocols


• Keep examination rooms stocked and order necessary medical and office supplies

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required


• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program preferred


• Certification (e.g., CMA, RMA, NCMA) is a plus

Skills & Abilities

• Basic knowledge of clinical procedures and medical terminology


• Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) and medical software


• Strong interpersonal and communication skills


• Ability to multitask and pay close attention to detail


• CPR and basic first aid knowledge preferred
