Medical Assistant - Gastroenterology Practice

Join a dynamic and busy gastroenterology practice dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. We are seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support our teams in Wethersfield, Enfield, and South Windsor. This position offers a 4 day work week, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.  

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and check in patients, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience
• Assist physicians during patient examinations and procedures
• Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are ready
• Collect patient medical histories and document accurately in electronic health records
• Take vital signs and perform basic clinical tasks as directed
• Provide patient education and instructions as needed
• Schedule appointments and follow-up visits
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas
• Adhere to all safety, privacy, and confidentiality protocols

• Ability to travel to our Enfield, South Windsor, and Wethersfield office locations  
• High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification preferred
• Previous experience in a clinical or medical office setting is a plus
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
