Medical Assistant (GSL)

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs and documenting medical history.
• Assist the physician during clinical examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment is available.
• Perform basic laboratory procedures and manage the preparation of specimens for analysis.
• Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations.
• Schedule appointments for patients and manage communications effectively within the office.
• Educate patients on treatment protocols, medications, and proper skincare routines.
• Ensure examination rooms are clean, organized, and sufficiently stocked with supplies.

• High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role within a clinical setting.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures specific to dermatology.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients and team members.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, especially in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with care and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
