VIP Rheumatology redefines rheumatological care with a commitment to prioritizing patients above all else. We are looking for an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team to deliver high-quality care in a new practice with cutting edge expertise. As a private practice, we are looking for a self-motivated individual who works well on a small team and is willing to play a collaborative role in each part of the patient care experience. Given that we are a new practice, there is substantial room for upward growth within the organization. Our office will offer you a unique opportunity to gain valuable knowledge which can be leveraged to grow with our organization. In this role, you will be offered to meet with providers on a regular basis to offer feedback and help us improve operations.
A Medical Assistant (MA) works alongside physicians in creating a welcoming environment, exceeding patient satisfaction. The MA provides patient care through performance of patient preparation, interviewing, technical tasks, and patient/family communication.
This position is for the Mount Laurel office only. The hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday. Physicians see patients 4 days a week, leaving one day for administrative work.

Requirements:
• MA Certification Education preferred
• H.S. Diploma/GED (required)
• 1+ years of related experience preferred
• eCW experience (preferred)
Responsibilities:
• Promptly rooms patients, reviews past medical, surgical, family history, allergies, medications; notes corrections in EMR, notes medication refills needed for the physician to review, obtains patient’s vital signs and documents in EMR, prepares chart for patient visit
• Assists patients as needed with walking, transfers, dressing, undressing, preparing for the exam
• Assists with minor procedures including ultrasound guided instruments, maintaining a sterile field, and other duties within scope of responsibility.
• Answers phones in a caring, organized and professional manner.
• Obtain and scan documents as appropriate and required for visit: test results, faxes, reports, notes, referrals, etc.
• Adheres to universal body fluids precautions and infection control policies.
• Ensures that the patient care areas are kept neat, orderly, well stocked and properly prepared.
• Cleans and restocks equipment as needed.
• Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local standards.
• Flexible and readily adopts new processes and engages changes.
