Overview: We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team in a multi-functional role, supporting both clinical and administrative operations within a Clinical practice environment. This role requires working under the guidance of physicians, providers, and registered nurses to deliver efficient, compassionate, and quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in clinical duties such as venipuncture, administering medications and vaccines, recording vital signs, and supporting patient exams.
• Perform administrative tasks including patient preparation, education, and clerical support to ensure smooth operations.
• Facilitate optimal patient flow, manage volumes, and prepare for scheduled visits.
• Conduct patient screenings focusing on preventative care, barriers to care, safety concerns, and potential fall risks.
• Engage in motivational interviewing, identifying behavioral health needs, and assist in patient management strategies.
• Participate in transition of care surveillance and perform follow-up tasks as required.
• Contribute to performance improvement initiatives to enhance care quality and safety.
• Comply with training requirements such as safety and infection control protocols.
• Maintain clinical equipment and medication supplies, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards.
• Engage in population management activities to support patient self-management and health improvement.
• Conduct various patient tests and procedures, document results, and perform necessary follow-ups.
• Support patient discharge processes, fulfill environmental responsibilities, and manage inventories.
• Provide telephone screening and chaperoning services, ensuring proper patient care and documentation.
• Assist with insurance pre-authorizations, medication refills, and maintaining patient records.
