Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Medical Assistant who has experience supporting a Neurologist to join our team at a state-of-the-art multi-specialty clinic in Sarasota, FL. Our clinic is equipped with the latest medical technology and provides a modern, collaborative environment. This full-time position offers $22/hour with a consistent Monday to Friday schedule.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient intake, including taking vital signs, medical histories, and preparing patients for exams.
• Perform basic laboratory and diagnostic tests under the direction of a physician.
• Administer medications and injections as directed.
• Manage patient flow and ensure an efficient, welcoming environment.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the clinic's electronic health system.
• Assist with the preparation and sterilization of medical instruments and supplies.
• Communicate with patients regarding appointment scheduling, instructions, and follow-up care.

Requirements

• Must have experience as a MA supporting a Neurologist or Neurology practice  
• MUST BE LOCAL TO SARASOTA AREA or planning to relocate on your own. Relocation assistance is not offered.
• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred).
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from American Medical Technologists (AMT), or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) from the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) required.
• 1+ year of experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
• Knowledge of medical office procedures and patient care protocols.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a patient-centered focus.
