The Medical Assistant may be asked support either the front & back office with phlebotomy, preparing and shipping samples, and general participant service.
Job Duties
- Warmly greet and assist patients at the front and back office
- Perform blood draws (venipuncture) safely and effectively
- Process and ship laboratory samples accurately
- Assist with EKGs, vital signs, subcutaneous injection, and other procedures as needed
- Serve as a backup study coordinator
- Provide clerical and administrative support
Job Requirements
- CPT-1 or Certified Medical Assistant
- Experience and skill in venipuncture (blood draw), especially in older adults
- Attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks with precision
- A command of professional spoken and written English
$25 - $25 an hour
Hours and Compensation
This is a full-time employment position based in-person at our clinic next to Alta Bates Summit in Oakland. It is on the 11th floor of a large, safe medical building with transit access, a multi-story parking garage, and beautiful views of the bay. We have five clinics throughout California, but this is our first site in the San Francisco Bay Area.
The starting salary for this role is $25/hour.
The company pays for 100% of health/dental/vision individual insurance costs for eligible full-time employees. Vacation (PTO) is earned at a rate of 3 weeks per year.
