ABOUT NBCG
Neurobehavioral Center for Growth (NBCG) is a fast-growing, multi-location behavioral health practice with offices across the Salt Lake City area, including Bountiful, South Ogden, and Ogden. We offer comprehensive care, including psychiatry, medication management, TMS, Spravato/esketamine, ketamine therapy, ABA therapy, neuropsychological testing, and speech therapy. Our mission is to provide exceptional, accessible behavioral health care — and the team we build is what makes that possible.
THE ROLE
We’re looking for a compassionate, energetic Medical Assistant to join our South Ogden clinic as part of our Psychiatric and Advanced Depression Services team. This is a hands-on, high-impact role that sits at the intersection of traditional medical assisting and specialized clinical support for some of the most innovative treatments in behavioral health.
You’ll work alongside our psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners to provide top-level patient care for our medication management patients — and you’ll also be trained and actively involved in delivering our advanced depression services, including TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation), Spravato (esketamine), and ketamine therapy. This isn’t a sit-at-the-desk kind of role. You’ll be in the room with patients, part of their healing journey, and a meaningful part of a team that genuinely changes lives.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Advanced Depression Services Clinical Support
• Administer and monitor TMS treatments in accordance with established protocols
• Support Spravato (esketamine) and ketamine therapy sessions, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout
• Prepare treatment rooms, equipment, and documentation prior to and following each session
• Provide attentive, compassionate in-session support to patients receiving advanced depression therapies
• Maintain accurate clinical records and treatment logs for ADS patients
Psychiatric Medical Assisting
• Assist our psychiatrists and psychiatric NPs in delivering high-quality medication management care
• Room patients, obtain vitals, and prepare charts before provider appointments
• Process and coordinate refill requests in a timely and organized manner
• Respond to clinical calls and patient messages, triaging needs appropriately
• Help coordinate patient care and follow-up in collaboration with the clinical team
Scheduling, Front Desk & Patient Coordination
• Schedule and manage patient appointments across psychiatric and ADS service lines
• Check patients in and out efficiently, ensuring a welcoming and smooth experience
• Answer phones and assist patients with questions, appointment requests, and follow-ups
• Collaborate closely with our other MAs at the South Ogden location and the broader clinical team
WHO YOU ARE
• You genuinely care about patients — not just the task in front of you, but the person in the room with you
• You bring warmth, patience, and a calm presence to every interaction, especially with patients who may be struggling
• You’re a team player who shows up for your colleagues and takes pride in being someone others can count on
• You’re organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities without dropping the ball
• You can communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families, and providers alike
• You’re comfortable in a clinical environment and not afraid to ask questions or continue learning
• You bring a healing spirit to the work — you understand that in behavioral health, how you show up matters
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience as a Medical Assistant or in a clinical support role preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to pass a background check
Preferred (but not required — we’ll train the right person):
• CMA or RMA certification
• Experience in behavioral health, psychiatry, or mental health settings
• Prior exposure to TMS, Spravato, or ketamine-assisted therapy
• Familiarity with EHR systems (we use AdvancedMD)
WHY NBCG
Working in advanced depression services is unlike any other clinical role. You’ll witness patients who have tried everything finally experience relief — and you’ll be part of making that happen. Our South Ogden team is close-knit, collaborative, and passionate about what we do. We invest in our people, support your growth, and truly believe that the culture we build together is what sets the quality of our patient care apart.
• Full-time position with competitive pay ($18–23/hr, depending on experience)
• Comprehensive training on TMS, Spravato, and ketamine protocols — no prior ADS experience required
• Supportive, mission-driven team environment
• Opportunity to grow within a fast-expanding behavioral health practice
• Meaningful, rewarding work that makes a measurable difference in patients’ lives
