Job Description

Busy Dermatology practice seeks motivated, dependable, team oriented MA to work in our fast-paced and energized specialty practice.  Must be self-motivated and able multi-task while upholding our vision to provide compassionate service and exceptional care for our patients. 

Clinical duties to include, but are not limited to:

·       Rooming patients in an efficient and timely manner.

·       Utilizing our EMR, MA will document the patient’s medical history, chief complaint and medication list.

• Scribing for the Provider during the visit, accurately documenting the impression and plan, new prescriptions, and operative notes.


• Performing specific tasks such as surgery site preparation, drawing up medications, taking photos of the site, preparing specimens for pathology; as well as patient education responsibilities such as wound care and medication instructions.


• With proper training and with a proven level of interest and skill, MAs will be selected to assist in surgical procedures such as: biopsies, excisions, and MOHS.


• Must be able to work collaboratively as part of a team of physicians, PAs, LPNs, MAs, registration staff and management.


• Performing other duties as assigned such as sterilizing instruments and stocking supplies.


• Other tasks as requested by management.

Job Location: Rockford, Michigan

Job Type: FULL TIME

Required education:

• MA, RMA, CMA or


• CNA with a minimum two years of experience in a clinical setting or


• Bachelors of Science in a health-related field or


• 6 months of continuous full time clinical hands on experience (roughly 1000 hours) in a dermatology practice with a requirement to become a Certified Dermatology Tech within 6 months of employment

Required experience:

• Preferential consideration given to those with dermatology experience or to those with more than one year of clinical experience.  However we are willing to train the right candidate for this position.

Special note: Due to the unique operational needs of our clinics, we may request that our employees work in a different site from the one they were originally scheduled in.  Sometimes these requests are planned and sometimes they are spontaneous and could be after the employee has reported to work for the day.  Reasons for these requests vary but they are mainly is to ensure coverage in case of high patient volume, unscheduled absences from other staff, etc.  Therefore we require all our employees to have a valid and unrestricted driver’s license.  Mileage reimbursement will be paid in accordance with our Mileage Reimbursement Policy.

We offer paid internships for gap year students whenever we are able.  These positions do not offer medical benefits in the first year.  If the students remains employed past the first year, benefits are offered if the students had worked the required hours in accordance with the law.
