Medical Assistant Specialist - Radiology - Full Time

Essential Functions:

• Assists the Technologist by escorting patients and assisting in their care as needed.
• Navigates successfully through all computer systems to obtain necessary information.
• Observes patients to ensure safety and comfort during their stay in the imaging department.
• Transports supplies or equipment when needed, charts, records, Radiology Imaging and reports for the department.
• Maintains adequate supplies in exam rooms.
• Advocates accomplishment of team goals and objectives by promoting a balanced workload and maintains a positive work environment.
• Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.

Required Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 1 year of Medical Assistant work experience within the last 2 years. Medical Assistant Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment. Current BLS certification or to be completed within first 90 days of employment.
