Requirements:

To be seriously considered for this role, you’ll need to have:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Graduate of a certified Medical Assistant program preferred.


• Experience: Previous medical practice, clinic or hospital experience preferred.  EMR experience preferred.  Knowledge of medical terminology is required.  Excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills required.


• Licenses/Certification: Current CPR/BLS, medical assistant certification preferrred.     

Essential Functions:

• Triage phone calls, follow-up on phone calls


• Track operative reports, lab and pathology reports and call patients with results


• Place patients in room after taking vitals and health history


• Assist surgeons with minor procedures in office


• Clean, turn over exam rooms


• Authorize prescriptions, procedures, radiology


• Meticulous follow-up with patients regarding lab/radiology/pathology test results


• Oversee patient wait times, ensure clinic runs efficiently


• Track operative reports, lab results, pathology


• Instrument sterilization oversight


• Specimen handling, processing and paperwork


• Check-in, check-out, surgery scheduling and coordination help if needed


• Positive attitude, open to change, willing to work in a team setting, respectful

Physical Requirements

• Occasionally (0-33%) – stooping, stairs, lifting 0-20 lbs, pushing/pulling 20-50 lbs


• Frequently (34–66%) - standing, walking, sitting, handling of items


• Continuously (37-100%) - see with corrective eyewear, hear clearly with assistance

Shift - Day
Schedule - M-F, 9am-5pm
Status - FT

Compensation:  $20.84 - $25.00/hour depending on experience.
