Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support patient care and provider needs in Tulsa. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting with examinations, diagnostic procedures, treatments, and care coordination. This temporary role is essential in ensuring quality patient outcomes and maintaining a positive care experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assess their general condition, documenting chief complaints, vital signs, weight, and medical history.

• Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments according to established protocols.

• Independently perform ancillary services including venipuncture, x-rays, and medication administration.

• Maintain accurate and organized medical records, ensuring timely filing of charts, correspondence, and test results.

• Coordinate care by scheduling appointments, handling prescription refills, and tracking pending tests or referrals.

• Utilize EMR systems and other software applications in compliance with clinic policies.

• Provide patient education as directed, promoting wellness and improving care outcomes.

• Participate in quality initiatives and safety functions, supporting clinic goals.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of related experience within the past 5 years, or completion of an approved Medical Assistant program.

• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

• Demonstrated patient care abilities with knowledge of healthcare delivery processes.

• Proficiency with EMR systems and basic computer skills.

• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively in a fast-paced medical environment.
