Medical Assistant - The Summit Pain and Spine Clinic

We specialize in orthopedic, spine, and pain management services, providing patients with compassionate, high-quality care in a supportive environment. We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our growing Pain & Spine Clinic team.

The Medical Assistant will support providers and patients by performing both clinical and administrative tasks in a fast-paced specialty clinic. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create a positive first impression for patients.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care:

• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for consultations.
• Take vital signs and record patient information accurately.
• Assist in managing patient inquiries and scheduling appointments.

Administrative Duties:

• Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional manner.
• Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy and confidentiality.
• Establish and maintain effective communication and professional working relationships with patients and their representatives, managers, providers, other clinic staff, outside agencies, and the public.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 or more years of experience in healthcare environment.
• Previous experience in a medical office setting is advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in basic medical procedures and terminology.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus.
• CPR certification may be required.

Work Schedule:

Typically, Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Schedule is set by the Clinic Manager.
