Medical Assistant-Float

• Setting: Multisite outpatient multispecialty physician practice providing clinical support across multiple office locations. Float Medical Assistant supporting continuity of care and back-office operations across sites.


• Schedule: Full-time


• Job Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent required. One to two years of experience in a medical setting is preferred, with formal medical assistant training or certification considered a plus. Candidates must have knowledge of HMO insurance plans and experience in a clinical office environment. Responsibilities include patient triage and assessment, taking vital signs, assisting with in-office procedures, supporting physicians during exams, administering medications as directed, coordinating diagnostic testing and pre-authorizations, maintaining medical records, and ensuring follow-up on patient care. Familiarity with Athena EMR, CPT coding, and ICD-10 coding is preferred. Strong communication, adaptability, computer proficiency, and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to float between multiple locations and adjust to changing clinical needs.
