Job Description: Medical Assistant / LPN (Doctor’s Personnel Nurse)

Position Summary: We seek a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team as a doctor’s personnel nurse. The ideal candidate will have clinical experience, be detail-oriented, computer savvy, and possess the ability to communicate effectively with patients about their diagnosis and test results. Prior experience in a gastroenterology (GI) clinic is a plus. This position requires someone who is self-driven, efficient, and capable of supporting our healthcare team in delivering the highest standard of care.

Key Responsibilities:

· Patient Care: Assist the physician in providing high-quality care to patients, ensuring they feel comfortable and informed during their visits.

· Clinical Support: Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking patient histories, answering patient calls, completing doctors' tasks, and scheduling procedures.

· Diagnosis and Test Results Communication: Effectively communicate test results and treatment plans to patients, ensuring they understand their diagnosis and the next steps in their care.

· Clinical Documentation: Accurately document patient information and medical history in the electronic medical record (EMR) system and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.

· Patient Education: Provide patients with information and instructions regarding their treatment plan, follow-up care, and any necessary lifestyle changes.

· Collaboration: Work closely with the physician, nursing staff, and other team members to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care.

· Administrative Support: Assist with scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and ensuring the smooth operation of the physician's clinic. Work with the billing department with insurance verification and handling referrals as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Education/Certifications:
  • Medical       Assistant or LPN certification required.
  • CPR/BLS       certification.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 1-2       years of clinical experience, preferably in a clinic setting.
  • Experience in       gastroenterology (GI) is a plus but not required.
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in       electronic medical records (EMR) and Microsoft office software.
  • Excellent verbal       and written communication skills, with the ability to discuss medical       information with patients empathetically and comprehensively.
  • Strong       organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage       multiple tasks effectively.
  • Self-motivated       and capable of working independently while maintaining high standards of       care.
  • Comfort with       talking to patients about diagnoses, test results, and treatment options.

Working Conditions:
