Medical Assistant/Transcriptionist Rocky Top ENT & Allergy Office

Rocky Top ENT & Allergy is an Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) practice committed to providing compassionate, comprehensive care to our patients. Our team is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our growing practice. This is a great opportunity to work closely with experienced ENT specialist in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Location: Crossville and Oak Ridge, TN Locations

Job Type: Full-Time (Monday–Friday)

Job Responsibilities:

• Greet and prepare patients for examination, taking medical histories and vital signs
• Transcription experience a plus (typing skills, Eclinical works EMR)
• Assist physicians with examinations and minor in-office procedures
• Perform allergy testing (training provided if needed)
• Administer injections and medications as directed by physician
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in EMR system
• Prepare and clean exam rooms and instruments between patients
• Manage inventory of medical supplies and ensure clinical areas are stocked
• Provide patient education regarding treatments, medications, and follow-up care
• Assist with administrative duties such as scheduling, referrals, insurance documentation, medication prior authorizations, and phone calls

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience in ENT, or specialty practice a plus
• Proficient in EMR systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks, Epic, etc.)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a team-oriented environment
• CPR certification (required or willingness to obtain)
