Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Medical Biller with 5-10 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing, particularly in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R), Physical Therapy, Chiropractic, Acupuncture, General Medicine, and Durable Medical Equipment. Experience in billing for Ambulance, Pharmacy, Hospital, Psychiatry, or Sober Living does not translate to this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately process and submit insurance claims for services rendered in PM&R, Physical Therapy, Chiropractic, Acupuncture, General Medicine, and Durable Medical Equipment.
- Review, edit, and resubmit rejected or denied claims to maximize reimbursements.
- Verify patient insurance benefits and eligibility.
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims to ensure timely reimbursement.
- Handle patient billing inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
- Maintain compliance with all regulations, guidelines, and company policies.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of experience in medical billing.
- Familiarity with billing procedures for PM&R, Physical Therapy, Chiropractic, Acupuncture, General Medicine, and Durable Medical Equipment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding.
- Experience with medical billing software and EMR systems.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
Compensation:
- Hourly pay rate: $25 - $40, commensurate with experience.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time, on-site position.
